VORACIOUS SCOURGE

Release Year: 2018
Artist Origin: USA
Style: intense gloomy technical death metal

one of the key architects of early Suffocation, drummer of formidable skill Mike Smith spent years feeling slighted and undervalued, eventually taking on multiple projects to prove his abilities - and they clearly never went anywhere, finding the most effective expression on this debut EP by the Louisiana quartet, which follows finest traditions of technical death metal, where precise, organically sounding drumming by no means overshadows other instruments but confidently sustains dynamic pulse of music, with guitars cementing old-school extremity, enriched by bleak harmonies, while deep vocal performance of Sinister’s Adrie Kloosterwaard becomes the crucial unifying element, as his authoritative manner not only channels this material into a focused direction but also guarantees an impeccable sense of the genre, allowing music sound confident and full of character; Spanish transparent yellow vinyl edition is limited to 500 units
