U.D.O.

Release Year: 2023
Artist Origin: GER
Style: catchy expressive powerful heavy metal

U.D.O. significantly regains more authenticity with the return of longtime ally and creative bassist Peter Baltes, continuing German heavy metal saga with a bang across thirteen brand-new anthems, drawing a parallel between the force of music and collisions on a rugby field - likely not by accident, as the world championship followed right after album's premiere; be that as it may, characteristic sound remains unchanged, with the loudest applause going to vivid guitar dialogues, heavy pulse of rhythm section, and uplifting choruses, while tracks such as Forever Free, The Flood, and Heroes of Freedom add extra dynamics, strong sense of melody, and a live show feel; limited German three panel digipak edition comes with sixteen page booklet and bonus Live Bootleg DVD from 2022's Wacken, where Dirkschneider tears through thirteen legendary Accept classics
