SUMMONING

Release Year: 2013
Artist Origin: AUT
Style: mysterious epic atmospheric black metal

after another seven year hiatus, the mysterious Austrians return with an album of eight expressive, introspective compositions, dominated by a mystical, rich, and immersive atmosphere, where gradually unfolding themes keep the listener engaged, subtly shifting in timbre and allowing the dramatic energy to develop naturally, while maintaining a cohesive narrative throughout the entire recording; these sounds remain relevant and competitive, as they make no attempt to follow contemporary trends, developing a recognizable, characteristically heroic atmosphere, while the highlighted vocal contrast between Protector and Silenius, along with epic choirs, gives the new music much more vitality and, truthfully, elevates their level of artistry, demonstrating a subtle progression from previous works
