these both initial full-lengths by Texas five-piece outfit are absolute classics in epic, harmonious and monumental doom/heavy metal, impressive in delivery and perfect in composition, featuring a remarkable talent of notorious vocalist Robert Lowe and composing skills of John Perez and Edgar Rivera: debut album [1991] bears heavy, yet strangely sublime sound, backed up by brilliant technique and gloomy atmosphere, where dramatic speed ups add diversity and depth to otherwise grandiose tracks, while for its follower recording [1992] more time was spent in studio and musical concept was totally crystalized, turning into one of the most in-depth, or simply fundamental achievements of the genre, transmitting dark majestic atmosphere via bottom heavy arrangements; recent British double disc three panel digipak re-issue
