SOILWORK

Release Year: 2023
Artist Origin: SWE
Style: dynamic harmonious death thrash metal

fueled by strong enthusiasm and an abundance of ideas, Soilwork did not take long to craft nine more tracks for their sophomore full-length and by February 1999 were back at Fredman Studio in Gothenburg, while their focused pursuit of a clear goal was fueling rapid creative growth: tightly structured material leaves no gray areas and bursts with super force, as aggressive metal direction is further sharpened with guitars taking command as the main driving force, where highly infectious riffs and high-speed soloing dominate the music, and rhythm section generates relentless, machine-gun-like momentum, while melodic expression repeatedly cuts through the dense wall of sound, with added intensity coming from Speed's harsh, screaming delivery, hovering on the edge of hysteria and amplifying the emotional impact; recent limited French black-marbled gray vinyl edition comes with two live versions of album cuts as bonus
