Artist Origin: SWE
Style: dynamic harmonious death thrash metal

ambitiously presented, driving and attacking full-length debut [1998] by Swedish six-piece from the west coast in then-rising melodic death metal scene immediately grabbed attention with its aggressive thrash/death metal attitude and high-speed, dynamic approach, heavily reliant on propulsive, often near-progressively complex rhythms and tasteful guitar riffing, while just as notably drawing focus with a string of memorable harmonies and catchy solos that effectively reinforce the essential ferocity; meanwhile Björn “Speed” Strid’s vocals still sound fairly conventional, somewhat reminiscent of the late Tomas Lindberg, yet they match raw, straightforward aggression and enhance the emotional charge, maintaining a balance between sheer force and memorable structure; recent limited French black-marbled gray vinyl edition comes with two live versions of album cuts as bonus
