SINISTER

Release Year: 2014
Artist Origin: NED
Style: sharp savage darkened death metal

the fourth Sinister album [1998] introduces a talented growler Eric de Windt who has done only this record with the band, but nevertheless steps the shoes of Mike in quite a smooth way, while the rest of historical team bashes through the signature savage Dutch death metal you all know so well; on this record guys tend to adapt intense and overly precise American techniques to their performance, yet maintain trademark darkened approach and moments of unexpectedness, where song structures are marked by unconventional elements, while aggressive riffs intertwine with chaotic solo passages, and lyrics delve into themes of violence, human brutality, and existential futility, further intensifying the chilling impact of claustrophobic atmosphere; recent machine-numbered digipak edition on golden disc is limited to 2000 units, copy #0655
