Carolus Rex was Sweden's most famous ruler King Charles I, to whom this grandiose concept story is fully dedicated - much like the glorious historical era described, expressive music also sounds as majestic and fist-pumping as it is humanly possible - well, it is exactly what the ever-growing ranks of Sabaton fans had been waiting for, so heaps of triumphant choruses and grandiose uplifting arrangements are guaranteed, as well as a fair share of thunder-like galloping rhythms and more intense, dramatic episodes of power like 1648 for example, where keyboard parts take on a broader scope, and dramatic guitar melodies sound more pronounced, subtly shifting tempo and dynamics throughout; this special "Swedish" version comes with lyrics sang in native tongue
