early nineties' Norway has been the boiling cauldron for second wave of ferocious black metal movement, yet at the other corner of the continent, in hot Greece, they had no weaker manifestations rising with full force: the legendary full-length debut [1993] by Tolis' brothers along the no less gifted Jim Patsouris and George Zacharopoulos in line-up pretty much summarizes this early stage of burgeoning scene, since their gritty, morbid, chunky, but also strangely hypnotizing occult black metal was special and different, as Hellenic ensemble, active for six years by then, kept forging it in an own way, incorporating gloomy harmonies and dreadful keyboards into extreme sound picture, shaping a unique style of their own; recent British black 180g vinyl edition comes with authentic design and additional full-size eight page booklet, featuring vintage photo collection and extensive liner notes by Sakis Tolis, taken from interview with Dayal Patterson
