for the second and final full-length [1997] of a solo project, Bathory mastermind decided to experiment even more, ignoring the immense weight of his main band's catalogue, revealing a heavy rocking side instead: on this double record with no less than twenty three tracks inspirations range from The Beatles to Sex Pistols, from classic rock to punk, and everything else in between - music remains smooth and catchy, even though with diverse structural plots and myriad of emotions in there; Quorthon's vocals sound unrestrained and natural, while often unpredictable mood constantly shifts from frantic to melancholic - nevertheless, despite big diversity, varied scenarios, and abundance of emotions, music flows in quite a cohesive and sufficiently consistent way, and for the sake of legend, it is mandatory at least to check; recent European gatefold sleeve double black vinyl edition comes with a pro-printed lyric insert and modified colouring on the cover
