mythical debut full-length recording [1985] by seminal San Francisco four-piece is obsessed with ultimately satanic ideas, and it is the grandfather record of it all: primeval death, merciless thrash, and early black metal fits in perfect within these ten timeless, massively shredding songs with titles like Pentagram and Holy Hell sending clear and certain anti-religious message behind, each making easily to the lists of most influential extreme music tracks ever written!; violent face-ripping guitar riff attack is followed by acidic vocals of Jeff Becerra and unusual syncopated drumming of Mike Sus, making this timeless longplay a special one indeed, defined by raw energy, occult fury, and an enduring underground spirit; recent European re-issue comes with a remastered sound and twenty page booklet, enriched by fresh liner notes and vintage photo gallery
