Style: grim monumental atmospheric doom metal

the latest opus by British icons serves as highly compelling reflection of their entire creative journey, uniting heaviness of early doom/death, gothic melodies of mid nineties, and refined approach of later periods into a cohesive and well-balanced whole, revealed most strongly not through individual hits but through a consistently maintained somber atmosphere and solid compositional backbone, with guitars shifting between creeping riffs and elevated melodies, while the vocals navigate different expressions from clean singing to rougher moments, expanding the emotional range and lending the music a sense of maturity that unfolds gradually, affirming harmony-driven direction, strong choruses, and engaging cohesion that sustains listener's attention and emotional connection; recent German gatefold sleeve double black vinyl edition comes with a pro-printed lyric insert
