Style: devastating energetic dynamic thrash metal

after a thirteen-year hiatus historic thrash outfit resurfaced in 2004 with three members from its classic line-up and, following three years of meticulous preparation, struck in 2007 with this comeback album, surprising not only with its modern, dynamic sound, polished by Andy Sneap, but also with a vigorous musical structure oriented toward Testament and Exodus, also rich in trademark, distinctly British twisted riffs, sharp sense of rhythm and direct, deafening delivery, allowing old-school aggression to be reborn in a contemporary and energetic form, while its lyrics revolve around themes of war, ideology, destruction and humanity's recurring mistakes, giving the music a polemical backbone that makes this record feel less like an exercise in nostalgia and more like a convincing statement of their continued relevance, power and authority in today's metal scene; recent limited British gatefold sleeve double clear vinyl edition
