NERVOSA

Release Year: 2014
Artist Origin: BRA
Style: aggressive riotous energetic thrash metal

counting their fourth year as a band, Nervosa emerge with a full-lengh debut not simply as thrash metal revival but as a fierce reassertion of the genre’s combative spirit through a distinctly sharpened lens - forged by an all-female line-up deeply aware of both their musical lineage and the societal pressures they confront, this recording channels classic speed and aggression into tightly coiled, razor-edged compositions, where feral riffs, relentless drumming, and Fernanda Lira’s seething vocal delivery fuel lyrics that confront corruption, violence, and systemic hypocrisy without falling into empty sloganeering; rather than mimic their influences, ladies weaponize them, carving out a space where energetic music becomes both a cathartic force and a statement of uncompromising defiance against internal and external oppression
