MORTA SKULD

Release Year: 2017
Artist Origin: USA
Style: chunky grim ferocious death metal

driven by the success of first two charismatic recordings, traditional death metal purveyors were fast enough to get ready for the third assault [1995], aiming to stand out from hot competition focusing on slower, heavy grooves with dynamic and intricate tremolo picked patterns, rich in layering, while subtle, hidden, often dissonant harmonies set dark and immersive atmosphere and fit in the picture of genuinely ferocious, chunky music - American melody was quite different from then establishing European tradition, so typically extreme and rhythmic formula was not traded for good, while Dr. Shrinker Germ Farm cover crowns this skeleton parade; recent British digipak re-issue comes with a remastered sound and authentic design
