following Toxic Holocaust formula, Athenar, aka Jameson Walters, the man behind this, has been running Midnight in pure underground way for eight long years, but much like his inspirator, has finally gone to record a full-length debut [2011], instantly witnessing a great success and significant breakthrough, which is a rough, unchained sound manifesto, where energies of speed, punk, and primitive black metal intertwine to striking, electrifying, and fiercely intoxicating effect; ten short and straightforward tracks sound dirty, violent, and bring a blasphemous message, while music is stripped down to the roots of metal, capturing Venom era revolt to action again, with loads of hooky riffs and raspy vocal flow; recent German strictly limited gatefold sleeve double black 180g vinyl edition marks ten year anniversary of this recording and comes with demo versions of all songs on second LP
