MAYHEM

Release Year: 2018
Artist Origin: NOR
Style: experimental technical modern black metal

trick or treat modern day technical experimental black metal reigns on this bleak, cold, haunting and downright frightening experience, chronicling WWIII and its ferocious aftermath: the grand new era surprise of Mayhem was a big risk to take, as this was the first full-length [2000] to appear after the fundamental DMDS opus, drastically distancing themselves from the past as much as possible, spontaneously recreating the unholy genre's rules; eight disorienting yet magnetically compelling tracks proved that such a bold, complex angle, raising more questions than giving answers to them, was worth pursuing, demanding a fairly open-minded approach to black metal from anyone daring to come close to this poisonous music; recent gatefold sleeve clear vinyl edition with entirely new design, essential sound remaster and pro-printed insert with extensive liner notes by sound engineer Jaime Gomez Arellano in addition is limited to 500 units
