LACUNA COIL

due to modern approach and direction not always loyal to metal, Italian band is an easy bait to victim-hungry critics, always in wait for something "inappropriate", while Lacuna keep moving their own route, on a string of releases combining penetrating tunefulness and impressive vocal performance by Cristina with bottom-line groovy and heavy basis; sweeping and memorable outcome is the most important, enhancing the impression with a bleak, somber atmosphere, uplifting harmonies, and tension-filled passages, thus reinforcing an overall impact, so when these choruses stick to mind just after few spins, it means that labeling is trivial, and even if it is alternative rock, it sounds impressive, dramatically strengthened by the madhouse concept, paired with cinematic, movie-worthy promotional videos; gatefold sleeve black 180g vinyl edition comes with additional CD version
