KHOLD

Release Year: 2011
Artist Origin: NOR
Style: sharp dirty groovy black metal

when Khold has got together out of the blue and inked an unexpected deal with notorious Moonfog label only one year after the band's formation, there were no others to play such a special kind of stripped down, mid-paced, groovy, but at the same time very grim, dirty, cold and atmospheric black metal - their seminal longplay debut [2001] was quite an innovative discovery paying a lot of attention to each and every detail to sound insanely catchy and super addictive, while lyrics were written in 18th century Norwegian dialect; this early line-up featured certain Tulus members, plus Galder [Old Man's Child, Dimmu Borgir] has granted a special guest appearance as well; British super jewel box re-issue comes with a remastered sound and demo version of Jol from 2000
