Style: atmospheric harmonious aggressive death metal

one of the strongest albums [1999] in rich back catalog of Peter Tägtgren’s seminal, legendary band opens with the pounding Fractured Millennium, amply proving that longevity of Swedish death metal is real and even aspires to immortality, confirming the ability to craft massive, impactful and exceptionally immersive sound: an infernal force is unleashed from its chain through intense vocal delivery, riffs wrapped in harsh corrosion, signature harmonious passages and a stunning surge of keyboards that subtly diversify the intense, heavy drama, while lyrics this time speak of sorrow, despair and nihilism, projecting a pessimistic vision of humanity’s future; recent German edition comes with authentic design and Selfinflicted Overload bonus
