four years after becoming an uninvited, yet wickedly bold guest at the party that is the music industry, always controversial GN'R detonated a creative blast by releasing the double mammoth of an album Use Your Illusion - one of the most significant achievements in rebellious hard rock history, opening up a more diverse, in a way more emotional side of the band's creative genius along traditionally loud and provocative numbers, where expressive grandeur, elemental energy, melodic sensitivity, and an ambitious, boldly expanded musical vision converge; this is the second volume [1991] of the grandiose longplay, triumphing with Civil War, You Could Be Mine, and Axl Rose openly howling at the music magazine editors on the rollicking Get in The Ring, proving their trademark image of bad guys in showbiz; recent European deluxe three panel digisleeve double disk edition comes with sound remastered directly from analog stereo tapes, first time since the authentic release, and thirteen live cuts on second CD from the kult 1991-1992 world tour, six of them tracked in Paris on June 6th 1992, twenty four page booklet is expanded with unreleased photos and extensive liner notes
