this glorious longplay debut [1991] by historical Scandinavian four-piece, masterfully recorded at Sunlight Studio with Tomas Skogsberg capturing the essence of new born subgenre, featuring the classic line-up with the growling monster Jorgen Sandström, is an absolute milestone, a seminal recording of ferocious, downtuned, gloomy and intense Swedish death metal - extreme music would not be as profound and menacing without such timeless classics as Deformed, Extremely Rotten Flesh, the title track and all other songs with seriously scaring effect, meanwhile essentially straightforward flow of the tracks is often and very tastefully enriched by atmospheric solos, giving the music a heavy sense of gloom and mournful mood that blends organically with its underground character, leaving a long-lasting feeling of destruction; ten year anniversary re-issue comes with a remastered sound, liner notes in the booklet, early five track Tremendous Pain 7"EP [1990] material, two unreleased demo versions of actual album tracks, and Soulless promotional video on top of that
