with drummer Oskar Karlsson returned to the fold it became clear how essential his distinctive drumming is in shaping their powerful identity - with this third and final album [1998] the Swedes reach one of the strongest expressions of their creations, refining fast-paced, direct and melodic sound where thrash energy and poignant, sorrow-tinged riffs naturally intertwine with memorable lead passages, subtle keyboard touches and carefully placed tempo shifts, while pulsating rhythmic foundation gives menacing music a sense of movement and organic flow, allowing songs to resonate not only with aggression but also emotional impact, maintaining a balance between cold, melancholic tone and warmer, more vivid presentation, ultimately closing quite short yet striking career with strong and memorable statement; recent French gatefold sleeve blue-marbled clear vinyl edition with a pro-printed lyric inner sleeve and new liner notes is limited to 300 units
