FORGOTTEN TOMB

Release Year: 2020
Artist Origin: ITA
Style: misanthropic depressive blackened doom metal

listening to this tenth full-length by enigmatic Italian four-piece, it gets quite obvious that musicians do their best to not repeat themselves, surprising with each new recording, yet comparing once again this six track epos with the previous, quite controversial longplay, there is a certain comeback vibe to depressive doom and melancholic black metal traditions in the air, while the igniting factor lurks in a modern, cleaner and sharper sound with less harmony exposed in the twisted riffs and the opposing harsh vocal effort by Ferdinando - effectively chilling, hypnotizing atmosphere is still essential in such a boiling cauldron of doomed emotions, confirming FT exclusive mastership to both the admirers and naysayers
