Style: energetic devastating technical thrash metal

pure gem of ambitious and dynamic extreme metal from the past, the first mind-blowing longplay [1988] of classic technical Bay Area speed/thrash metal team breaks down the barriers with impressive riffs, tricky and frequent tempo changes, awesome dual lead guitar work, and energetic but quite melodic vocal lines by Russ Anderson - intensity and coherence of music is masterfully juxtaposed to quite progressive elements, what guarantees a top notch status up until these days, and none other but Paul Bostaph [Slayer, Testament] is at his best drumming in the dawn of glorious career; recent German edition is updated with four extra cuts - live versions of album songs, recorded at the Trocadero club in Philadelphia on October 23rd, 1988
