operating under different names since 1981, rabid speed/thrash metal innovators began raising heads in 1985, finally recording two self-made demo tapes, serving as foundation for their landmark debut longplay too, securing its place in the genre's history: rough, limited-quality two-track Iron Tears pushed them to improve, while success in local battle of the bands brought even greater motivation and opportunity to record in a proper studio, where during a six-hour session four tracks of mythical Metal Shock demo [1985] were nailed, including such fan favourites as I Live You Die and The Beast Within, while a special highlight of this Dutch compilation comes in form of three additional live tunes from those prehistoric days, and sixteen page booklet featuresg archival photos alongside an extensive interview with drummer Kelly Smith
