the most fundamental studio recording [1997] in epic grandiose symphonic black metal genre comes in form of the third full-length by notorious Norwegian entity - surprisingly technical, insanely harmonious, masterfully orchestrated and polished work by the standards of the genre at that time has cut all bonds with ferocious underground epoch, yet maintained the dark, blasphemous and apocalyptic approach that have instantly inspired a new wave within the extreme metal community, pushing the boundaries way further one might have expected before this opus, sort of dividing the audiences yet inspiring the whole new scene at the same time; deluxe German gatefold sleeve black 180g vinyl edition comes with a pro-printed full size twelve page booklet with lyrics and related images
