CRYPTOPSY

Release Year: 2023
Artist Origin: CAN
Style: demented brutal technical death metal

the legendary debut [1994] from Montreal's extreme, insane, and technically ferocious death metal ensemble sounds particularly defiant, with each track serving as a unique descent into Cryptopsy's musical hellscape: despite its raw, unpolished production, uncompromising music astonishes with untamed intensity, striking technicality, and demonic vocal prowess of Lord Worm, whose grotesque lyrics have since become genre classics; cosmic tempo, unpredictable rhythmic turns, and chaotic yet precisely controlled instrumental interplay turn this opus into a mad manifesto against traditional song structures, where no formulas exist - only pure instinct, anarchic energy, and a morbid vision that redefined the boundaries of extreme metal; limited British gatefold sleeve clear vinyl edition
