Philadelphia-born glam/hard rock four-piece had to work hard to get recognized, so they did not hide behind flashy pseudonyms, carving their way onto the big stage through relentless effort that complemented their innate talent, constantly performing in East Coast clubs before this longplay debut [1986] - breakthrough was fueled by interest from Bon Jovi camp and Richie Sambora's recommendation, securing a major label contract; the result is authentic, dynamic sound where gritty guitars and driving rhythms blend with memorable melodies and dramatic choruses, complemented by striking visual image and Tom Keifer's distinctive vocals, culminating in such hit songs like Nobody’s Fool and Shake Me, while lyrics balance street-level reality, romantic rebellion, and emotional expression, giving ambitious record a passionate yet fiery character; recent European black 180g vinyl pressing for audiophiles comes with authentic sleeve design
