after an impressive Gore Obsessed session, several unused tracks were left over, eventually surfaced on this companion EP [2003] - devoted fans could still argue whether they really deserved to be left off the main longplay, but fate decided otherwise, even though in terms of energy and sheer drive they meet the highest standards Cannibal Corpse set for themselves and the others; equally interesting is Vile era re-recording of The Undead Will Feast from the debut album, convincing with Corpsegrinder's confident interpretation, while three classic covers once and for all reinforce the notion that whatever these Americans take on, they burst with distinctive passion, tearing through cult cuts by Accept, Metallica and [once again!] Possessed; recent British edition comes with authentic uncensored cover artwork and design
