idols of bludgeoning, intense and insanely tight American death metal go certainly more varied and harmonious way on their fourth longplay [1994], adding the genius of guitarist Rob Barrett [Malevolent Creation] who admittedly was a part of this transformation, while original vocalist Chris Barnes appears in studio for the last time ever with them - fundamental intricacy of aggressive playing and smashing, pummeling attitude remain intact though, with a more articulated vocal approach coming to the fore, broader dynamic spectrum, and clearer compositional structure, and this way dynamic, infectious and varied record with gory lyrics and sophisticated song titles as Fucked With a Knife for example is born; recent Japanese edition comes with authentic design, rare early era logo, OBI strip and extra booklet written in Nihongo
