remarkable second full-length release [1998] has turned into one of the most intense recordings of this famous Swedish entity - regardless the fact they have been primarily following the ever-rising harmonious death metal wave, genuinely technical, Michael Amott led ensemble has also managed to involve elements of loud thrash, traditional bombastic heavy metal and intense death metal, admittedly brought from the glorious Carcass era - such a combination was quite perfect for a gritty and peculiar vocal manner of Johan Liiva, significantly enhancing aggressive drive and dark atmosphere, while evidently melodic tendencies have eventually turned an unmistakable trademark of the notorious crew; recent European black 180g vinyl edition comes with a pro-printed lyric insert, including liner notes by Johan Liiva
