Style: rough atmospheric doom death metal

legendary debut album [1993] from the early era of ferocious British doom metal triumvirate shows bald and challenging character of composing as well as first signs of the band's innovation: unusually atmospheric and deeply emotional, yet rough and rigid performance, crowned by a growling genius of Darren White [ex. Blood Divine], might be closer to the first Paradise Lost album, but it also made the world of deep underground music change, demonstrating first-rate musical skills, compositional magic and visionary approach, representing sublime tragic condition of human existence, strengthened also by charming female vocal addition courtesy by Ruth Wilson; recent British edition comes with ambient Dreaming: The Romance and two more bonuses from rare We Are The Bible seven inch single [1994]
