third full-length album [2001] by dominating Scandinavian viking death metal purveyors continues with the same powerful and majestic approach crystalized on few initial records - even with no big novelties, this clearly determined entity is expressively focused on their victorious quest, taking the extreme metal to its epic grandeur while maintaining feral energy, music's intensity and overall angry direction, at times even pretending to throw some complexity in, that is missing on their later works, so such a rollercoaster of a ride in nine chapters certainly deserves an honourable spot among the highlights of the genre; recent black 180g vinyl edition comes with a remastered sound, pro-printed lyric insert, two-sided poster, and Possessed Eyes of Horror cover track as bonus
