right before and after Layne Staley death it was also quiet around the AIC camp, yet all of a sudden in 2005 they have started to roll the heavy ball again, welcoming a plain genius addition of William DuVall who shares the vocal duties with Jerry Cantrell ever since; this mesmerising comeback album, first studio longplay in fourteen years, is fully dedicated to Layne, and emotionally is very close to the glorious era of the band, but it is also firmly and clearly the Seattle combo's most energetic, convincing and consistent effort since the Dirt masterpiece, where biggest part of compositions are exceptionally catchy and stand out songs, whatever haters might talk about it - this is truly a huge achievement, proudly carrying the grunge legacy on!
