Style: melancholic dramatic atmospheric doom metal

as usual driven not only by the musical side of things, masters of ominous dramatic doom delve this time into horror literature maestro Edgar Allan Poe's novel The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket [1838], closely tied to previously explored adventure themes and symbolic, almost surreal vision of human fragility and unfathomable depths, while the sonic expression of six compositions gradually moves away from pure crushing weight and graveyard vibe, placing greater emphasis on dynamics, atmosphere, and more progressive approach, as these numbers develop from calm, clean guitar introductions into massive, avalanche-like riffs, with expressive melodies and solo passages gaining an even more prominent role, and vocals shifting between different expressive forms, conveying anxiety and anger, while maintaining highly hypnotic, cohesive listening experience; recent Austrian edition comes with twenty page booklet
