if some band of classic Bay Area thrash movement deserves a compilation of early material, then it is definitely Vio-Lence, whose demos were not properly spread in the eighties, and there are side recordings reflecting upon their rise and impact on the scene - you get it on this vinyl re-issue, featuring both cult demos, raw first Demo [1986], and "Mechanix" Demo [1988], both featuring same songs yet reflecting upon the progress of their skills, as well as the very first live version of Gutterslut [1985] from rare Eastern Front album, nailed at legendary Ruthie's Inn club - recordings are thoroughly restored and mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony studio, and the intensity of this material leaves no doubt this crew was totally killer way before their official releases; limited Dutch black vinyl edition comes with a pro-printed lyric insert, also featuring an extensive interview penned by Laurent Ramadier with Phil Demmel [guitars], enriched by heaps of rare vintage images
