THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER

Release Year: 2024
Artist Origin: USA
Style: harmonious intense thrash death metal

tragic fate of frontman Trevor Strnad did not stop the fierce Detroit ensemble, and with guitarist Brian Eschbach smoothly taking over lead vocal duties while confidently maintaining the band’s energy level, they have prepared its jubilee tenth full-length over the course of several years: ten tracks retain clearly recognizable, harmony-rich death metal character, uniting emotional pull of Deflorate era with aggression of Abysmal, while simultaneously raising the expressive bar through more technical, sharper approach, where machine-gun riffs, intense drumming, episodic groove moments, and vivid lead guitar parts function with clear direction, while lyrical themes of control, inner struggle, and social anxiety allow the music sound cohesive and assured, preserving a distinct musical identity; German "lost nobility" black-marbled purple vinyl edition with a pro-printed lyric insert is limited to 300 machine-numbered units, copy #106
