STONED JESUS

Release Year: 2018
Artist Origin: UKR
Style: intricate psychedelic stoner rock/metal

multi-faceted fourth full-length with groove and noise rock elements, plus lots of proggy infusions, marks a turning point in evolution of talented trio, shedding the doomy monoliths of earlier releases for a leaner, sharper sound where riffs twitch with urgency and restraint, songs breathe in dynamic shifts rather than sheer weight, and lyrics cut through like jagged commentary on modern disconnection - gone is the indulgent sprawl, replaced by a refined, almost krautrock-infused minimalism that balances tension and space, with bass lines that propel like machinery, and drums that speak in fractured rhythms, making these seven cuts not just an album but a document of transformation, a statement that heaviness is not just about volume, but about purpose, architecture, and the courage to unbuild what once defined you; first press digipak edition
