SOILWORK

Release Year: 2015
Artist Origin: SWE
Style: dynamic groovy harmonious heavy metal

it is not so easy to briefly describe what Soilwork deliver with this energetic recording, as at one point they can be aggressive, fast and ferocious, and on other occasion music turns almost lyrical and totally harmonious, admittedly deriving from the basics; neither thrash, nor traditional heavy or metalcore terms fully fit to characterize the whole, but elements of each direction are obvious on the album - a lot of attention is paid to rhythmics and flawless execution of clean vocals, as well as expressive, multilayered guitar parts, but to name the band as destroyers of metal roots would be too unfair, because the driving creative force maintains cohesion, strong emotional charge, and distinctive attitude, where modern sound blends with experience, and each track has its own character
