it is indeed the key[board] to innovative, ambitious, mysterious and intricate death metal with a vast space reaching cosmic concept: led by drummer and vocalist Mike Browning who has dramatically left Morbid Angel couple years ago, and boiling within Tampa Bay scene during its most creative period, Nocturnus was the pioneering band in death metal history to use keyboards with a great, long-lasting effect - this legendary nine track debut [1990] was born after two demo tapes, promoting the science-fiction based stories, and instantly gained them a kult status, while music has certain roots of classic Floridian extreme metal with added atmospheric extras, making this one of the most outstanding records around at a time; rare Czech license edition comes with a pro-printed double-sided lyric insert
