NOCTURNAL DEPRESSION

Release Year: 2011
Artist Origin: FRA
Style: depressive melancholic atmospheric black metal

with full five-member line-up assembled, the blackened suicidal mission continues with third full-length [2008], becoming a more potent dose of self-destruction than ever before, delivered at a relatively slow pace yet driven by an unwavering, fatalistic resolve, as this five part opus unfolds like journey into a consciousness blackout, steeped in sorrow, despair, and desperate intent, where ghosts of the past never disappear but merely manipulate, drawing the listener ever deeper into a bleak labyrinth of inner turmoil, where monotonous guitar riffs intertwine with gloomy melodies, muffled drum beats, and atmospheric layers of sound, while Lord Lokhraed's agonized, despair-ridden vocals erupt into harsh screams before sinking into oppressive growls, intensifying sense of hopelessness and turning music into cold, suffocating confrontation with inner emptiness
