following bass player change, the devotees of extreme sound expand their creative horizons, moving significantly away from the more straightforward death/thrash metal approach and delving ever deeper into intricacies of black metal, where rhythmically restrained passages that punctuate relentless aggression, dark sonic textures, and occult flourishes become equally important, while the most striking changes emerge in percussion department - fuller toms and ritualistic pulse lend the songs additional weight without sacrificing raw, organic character, as tremolo riffs, harmonious passages, and atmospheric introductions weave a cohesive, almost ceremonial narrative, reflecting desire to move beyond established trademarks in pursuit of more innovative form of expression, boldly incorporating new compositional ideas while opening up greater space for bleak, menacing atmosphere
