Style: catchy melodic dynamic death metal

one of the focal episodes of sweeping, highly expressive genre, historical longplay debut [1994] by one of the most significant entities of melodic death metal from Gothenburg charms with aggressive thrashy sound, heavily-distorted guitar harmonies, and Mikael Stanne's [Dark Tranquillity] raspy screams and shrieks, ending up in totally unforgettable ten track experience, brimming with dynamics and diversity, continually surprising with expressive tempo changes, complex riff variations, subtly integrated acoustic passages, and emotive folk motifs that add extra touches and distinctiveness to such a hard-hitting music; it is amusing that none of the musicians that recorded this opus are in the band any longer, so it truly belongs to another era; thirtieth anniversary commemorating, German transparent blue 180g vinyl edition with newly remastered sound and pro-printed double-sided lyric insert is limited to 2800 units
