there is a wrong understanding that this twentieth anniversary edition of harmonious death metal masterpiece of an album is a newly recorded material in its entirety with a current line-up - in reality four re-recorded songs are added as a special bonus for die-hard fans on separate 10" vinyl, while the main course is original album with a remastered sound and one new instrumental medley; on their fifth studio album [2000] catchy harmonious Swedish death metal megastars reach their apogee of early era creativity, exemplifying music's evolution towards still highly melodic yet way more groovier metal genre - certain chapters here may sound more upbeat than ever before, yet plain fundamental eleven track recording literally brims with heavier, more memorable and better constructed numbers, like Pinball Map and Brush The Dust Away that hit the top lists and instantly stick to mind, where the focused riffage keeps listeners closely engaged, while haunting lyrics reflect an emotional turmoil, with Anders' dominating vocal articulation getting so much more raspier and suggestive, confirming their collective progress; deluxe trifold sleeve double black vinyl edition comes with padded inner sleeves, new artwork, and oversized sixteen page booklet featuring the liner notes
