the ever-engaging and inseparable theme of the living dead works here as well - judge for yourselves whether it is German veterans’ self-irony or simply a tribute to classic horror cinema, but ten numbers of fundamental heavy metal sound energetic and straightforward, built on a strict guitar-riff framework and clearly articulated choruses, with infectious massive rhythmic pulse of the opening Fear of The Living Dead and dramatic melodic line of Blade of The Immortal standing out, while Chris Boltendahl’s voice retains commanding, expressive character, giving the music firm identity, so even if this is not a revolution, expressive recording maintains infectious energy, recalls their strengths and lets you enjoy a proven yet lively formula of German heavy metal; Austrian digipak edition with sixteen page booklet and Glory or Grave bonus is limited to the first press
