DIMMU BORGIR

Release Year: 2018
Artist Origin: NOR
Style: massive ominous orchestral black metal

whatever the reasons of a lengthy break were, this highly anticipated, returning ninth studio album by orchestral black metal apologists does not make shame neither to themselves, nor disappoints the die-hard audience either: ominous and bombastic ten track effort essentially meets the expectations, reflecting on what this Norwegian crew has been bettering during the last twenty years or so - without any loud statements about this being their best ever written longplay or the magnum opus of special subgenre, rich in diverse atmospheres and climates music sounds plain solid, majestic, quite ferocious and confident, while emotions invoked certainly convince the listener; German double gold 180g vinyl edition with a lush full size 28 page booklet is strictly limited to 700 units
