absolutely dominating with three unbeatable albums in a row at the turn of millenniums, eventually Norwegians started to smother in bombastic cauldron of eclectic emotions more and more, and it was first felt more tangible on the sixth longplay studio output with booklet artwork balancing on the edge of kitsch - if few megahits kick in super solid way, then the rest of repertoire slightly level already familiar ideas down and lack the essential memorable character; it does not mean though that supreme, complex and intense opus of pure blackness and aural annihilation is worth a shit, while subtle sound effects and atonal guitar harmonies convincingly overshadow accompanying orchestra, not to forget the haunting keyboard melodies, dynamically precise drumming and trademark acidic vocals; authentic German edition
