DEATHSTARS

Release Year: 2023
Artist Origin: SWE
Style: haunting dramatic industrial gothic metal

after a nine-year creative hiatus, Swedish industrial gothic metal collective returns with the fifth full-length album, marking a continuation of their misanthropic aesthetic while introducing a noticeable sense of maturity and melancholy, maintaining trademark theatrical gloom and cold futuristic mood; though not as aggressive or nihilistic as in their early years, fresh ten tracker features a richer, meticulously refined sound where electronics, heavy riffs, and Whiplasher’s commanding vocals create a balance between decadent romance and dark beauty, while the contribution of newly joined guitarist Cat Casino adds freshness and melodic depth, highlighting a subtle shift toward more atmospheric yet still drastically compelling model; German white vinyl edition with A2 sized band poster is limited to 1700 units
