iconic full-length debut longplay by forgotten by many, yet unfamiliar at all for most part of audience historical heavy metal entity was first self-released as a vinyl record in January of 1981 - it has laid foundation to profound and epic sound, where energetic, blues-rooted hard rock riffs, sweeping solos, Tim Baker's theatrical vocals, as well as unexpected psychedelic and progressive interludes reveal their developing musical identity; like many other early recordings it still shares quite diverse repertoire with unpolished angles, aiming to put up few directions into one more focused stream, the name of which is heavy metal, so it is no point to strictly categorize this album, yet ardent explorers of late seventies and early eighties sound get a unique artifact with a special delivery and hardly comparable to any other band vibe; recent deluxe German twenty page hardcover digibook double disk edition marks forty years since the original recording and comes with a remixed and remastered sound, retrieved directly from original tapes on first CD, and original mix version on second CD, enhanced by extensive liner notes and tons of vintage images
